We'll Tell You If You Don't Need It

Every job starts with a free on-site inspection — you look inside your own ducts with the technician before anything is quoted. If they're already clean, we say so and leave.

Our In-House Training Program

Floriduct was founded in 2023 by two partners with 10+ years of combined field experience, and every technician completes our in-house training program before their first customer visit.

Before-And-After Photos Of Every Job

Look up at the air handler and you can usually tell in a second. A metal plenum is shiny galvanized steel with folded, screwed seams. A fiberglass duct board plenum is a square-cornered grey or black box, foil-skinned on the outside and fibrous on the inside, taped and stapled at the corners. A lot of trunk duct in Plantation houses is the second kind, and it behaves nothing like metal. The inner face is porous, so it holds dust instead of letting it slide along, and it will not take the mechanical agitation that gets metal clean without shedding fiberglass into the airstream. It is cleanable. It is not cleanable the same way, and running the same brush through it that works on sheet metal is damage rather than work.

The other thing designed in at the same time is a one-inch filter. The rack behind the return grille takes a thin filter and nothing deeper, and the blower was specified against exactly that. Then somebody upgrades to a high-MERV pleated filter, for entirely sensible reasons, and puts a restriction in front of the blower that the system was never designed to pull through. What follows is longer run times, a colder and wetter coil, and a lot of the air slipping around the edges of the filter frame instead of passing through the media, which defeats the point of the better filter. Usually the answer is a less restrictive filter changed more often, or a deeper filter cabinet where there is room for one.

Air Duct Cleaning in Plantation — FAQs

What Plantation homeowners ask us about air duct cleaning.

Look in two places and you will know. At the air handler, galvanized steel is shiny with folded and screwed seams; fiberglass board is square-cornered, foil-skinned outside and fibrous inside; flexible duct is the grey sleeved tube with a wire helix running through it. Then take one register off and look in with a flashlight. Smooth and metallic is rigid duct. Ribbed and slightly furry is flex. Matte and fibrous with taped corners is board. Most houses here run some combination, commonly board or metal for the trunk and flex out to the branches, and the three do not want the same treatment.

What sets us apart

Every Supply and Return Line, Not Just the Vent Covers

Wiping a register cover makes the vent look better and changes nothing about the air coming through it. We clean the system behind it — every supply and return line, one at a time — with a high-powered negative-air vacuum that has HEPA filtration, so the dust and debris we dislodge get carried out of the house instead of scattered back into your rooms. Sanitization and vent-cover cleaning are there as add-ons, and we tell you what each one actually does before you decide.

How it works

Our 4-Step Air Duct Cleaning Process

1

Inspection

We look inside your ductwork first and tell you straight whether cleaning is worth doing. If the system is already in good shape, we say so.

2

Cleaning

Professional-grade equipment works the supply and return lines vent by vent, dislodging the dust and debris coating them.

3

Extraction

A negative-air vacuum with HEPA filtration captures everything we loosen and carries it out, so none of it scatters back into your rooms.

4

Walkthrough

We walk the finished system with you, with before and after photos of what came out of it.

Our results

The Same System, Before and After

Air duct cleaning clears the supply lines, plenum, and registers of built-up dust and debris. These are real Floriduct jobs in South Florida homes — the same system, photographed before we started and after we finished.
