Dryer Vent Repair & Installation in South Florida

Some dryer vent problems are not lint. A crushed duct behind the appliance, a torn flexible line in the attic, or a termination that no longer closes needs repair or replacement, not cleaning. Floriduct is an air duct & HVAC cleaning company serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

Cleaning a dryer vent and repairing one are different jobs, and it is worth knowing which you need. Cleaning clears the lint out of a line that is otherwise sound. Repair comes in when the line itself has failed — a duct crushed flat where the dryer was pushed back against the wall, a foil line torn open in the attic, a joint that has separated, or an exterior hood that no longer opens. No amount of brushing fixes any of those.

The most common one we find is also the easiest to miss. The flexible transition duct behind the appliance gets crushed or kinked the moment the dryer is slid back into place, and from then on the run is restricted no matter how clean it is. It is a short piece of duct and a quick replacement, and it is often the whole problem.

New installations and rerouting are the other half. South Florida homes sit on slab, so there is no basement or crawlspace to run a vent through — lines go up through the ceiling and out the roof, or out through a block wall, and both can end up longer and more turned than the appliance was designed for. When a run is that long, how it is built matters more than how often it is cleaned.

What's included

What our dryer vent repair & installation covers

Repair of the accessible run

Crushed, kinked, torn, and disconnected sections are repaired or replaced — including the transition duct behind the appliance, which is where most damage is.

Terminations, hoods & caps

Exterior wall hoods and roof terminations that have failed, corroded, or stopped closing are replaced and resealed so the line vents and stays shut against pests.

New installation & rerouting

New runs installed and existing ones rerouted, with attention to length and the number of turns, so the vent works with the appliance rather than against it.
